Mucha Inspired / Norfolk Vintage Wedding / Styled Bridal
This Vintage styled photoshoot was a dream project. I worked alongside two great local wedding suppliers from Norfolk to put together something a little alternative. Hair and Make up was styled by Flamingo Amy & Florist Samantha Powell lent her skills in decorating our beautiful location.
The main source of inspiration was the work of Art Nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha, who I have always been a huge fan of. His artwork mostly centres around celebrating Women’s strength and beauty, accentuating this with the use of feminine yet powerful poses, delicate colours, lots of floral details and free flowing, intricately drawn outfits. Myself and Amy had a mutual love of his work, so decided that would be our main starting point for inspiration.
I styled our Vintage Bride for the day, in dresses I had found at home. The first dress was my Mum’s David Fielden Wedding dress, which was made from up-cycled vintage material, perfectly tying in with the classical theme of the shoot. Hair and Make up really pulled the vintage theme together, adding the perfect touches to the shoot.
Flowers were a big deal for this shoot! Samantha Powell created amazing floral arrangements incorporating wild foliage and flowers. Having a deconstructed feel to reflect the natural nature of surroundings Mucha painted his subjects in.
Extra thanks goes to Lisa for letting us invade her stunning home for the day!
